About

Built because we needed it to exist.

EDS Gym Confidence grew out of two things I know personally: the gym and life with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. I've been in and out of gyms for decades, so the gym itself isn't new territory for me. But living with EDS has taught me that strength, movement, and progress don't always look the way traditional fitness culture says they should. My experience is my own—EDS can show up differently for each of us—but I understand firsthand what it's like to work with a body that sometimes requires a different approach.

What I saw missing was a place that felt like a supportive friend and a knowledgeable coach—not a hardcore fitness site, not a “shred for summer” program, and not another set of impossibly edited bodies. A place for women who wanted to feel stronger and more confident without feeling like they had to fit into traditional fitness culture first. So I decided to create it.

It's built especially for women in midlife—women returning to exercise after years away, women who've never felt comfortable in a gym, women whose bodies are changing, and women living with EDS, hypermobility, joint instability, or chronic pain. The ones afraid of injury, of "doing it wrong," of looking out of place.

I believe you don't need to become a different woman before you start. You don't need to be fit first, or know anything, or look a certain way. You just need someone to meet you where you are—and to tell you the truth: that you deserve to be here.

What we promise

  • • No shame. No guilt. No before/after photos.
  • • No "summer body," no extreme transformation language.
  • • Movement that fits your body—including yours.
  • • Strength and confidence as the goal, not weight loss.
  • • A reminder, always, to work with your healthcare team.

You deserve to be here.

However your body feels today, whatever you do or don't know—you belong in this conversation. Let's take that first step.
